Generika werden unter dem internationalen Freinamen auf den Markt gebracht, wenn der Patentschutz für das Originalpräparat ausgelaufen ist und der Wirkstoff von anderen Arzneimittelherstellern in den Handel gebracht werden darf. Die therapeutisch wirksamen Substanzen in Originalpräparaten und Nachahmerpräparaten sind identisch. Für Generika gilt das übliche Zulassungsverfahren in gleicher Weise wie für Originalpräparate.

Drug Uses
Analgin is used for treatment of acute pain in adults, menstrual pain (primary dysmenorrhea) in women, pain, inflammation, and stiffness of osteoarthritis and rheumatoid arthritis in adults.
How Taken
Analgin comes as a capsule to take in orally. Take it as directed by your doctor.
Warnings/Precautions
Analgin like other NSAID medicines may cause serious problems such as liver damage. Some of the symptoms of liver damage are nausea, vomiting, tiredness, loss of appetite, itching, and yellow coloring of skin or eyes and dark urine. If you experience these conditions, you should stop taking Analgin and contact your doctor immediately. Analgin may also cause bleeding stomach ulcers, especially if you take Analgin for a long time or/and if you take large doses of Analgin. Sudden stomach bleeding is also possible. Contact your doctor immediately if you get a burning stomach pain, black bowel movements that look like tar, vomit that looks like blood or coffee grounds.
Missed Dose
If you miss a dose take it as soon as you remember. However, if it is nearly time for the next dose, skip the Missed Dose and continue your regular dosing schedule. Do not take a double dose to make up for a missed one.
Possible Side Effects
Some of the Possible Side Effects are– headache, indigestion, upper respiratory tract infection (a "cold") diarrhea sinus inflammation, stomach pain, nausea.
Storage
Store this medication at room temperature 15–30°C (59–86°F). Keep away from children and excess heat and moisture (not in the bathroom).
Overdose
If overdose is suspected seek medical attention immediately. Some of the symptoms of overdose are– drowsiness, nausea, vomiting, stomach pain, and dizziness, headache, ringing in the ears, blurred vision, little or no urine production, slow breathing, and coma.
More Information
You may need a dosage adjustment or special monitoring during treatment or you may not be able to take this drug at all if you have kidney or liver infection or if you have gastrointestinal problems. Analgin is in the FDA pregnancy category C, which means that studies in animals have revealed adverse effects on the fetus (teratogenic or embryocidal or other) and there are no controlled studies in women, or studies in women and animals are not available. Also it is not known if Analgin passes into breast milk. Therefore, do not use Analgin without your doctor`s approval if you are pregnant, likely to become pregnant or breast feeding. Patients over 65 years of age may be more sensitive to the effects of Analgin. These patients are recommended to take a lower dose of this drug, as they are more likely to experience side effects.
